Freddo cappuccino
To make a freddo cappuccino you need 3 minutes, 18 g of freshly ground FREDDO Espresso and 100 ml of cold milk. First make a freddo espresso: pull a double espresso, whip it with 3 to 4 ice cubes and pour it into a glass with fresh ice cubes. Then whip the cold milk in a frappé mixer or with a milk frother into a thick, cold foam. Finally spoon the milk foam on top of the freddo espresso so it stays on the surface. The milk should come straight from the fridge, because only cold milk gives a firm foam that holds for a long time. As with freddo espresso, the sugar goes into the hot espresso before whipping. Give the mixer jug a quick rinse between coffee and milk to keep the milk foam white. In the glass you then see two layers: cold espresso below and white foam on top.

Tips and variations
Which milk froths best cold?
Use milk straight from the fridge. Low-fat milk gives a firm, tall foam, whole milk a creamier and slightly softer one. Barista oat drinks froth cold as well, while basic plant drinks collapse faster.
What is a freddo cappuccino latte?
A freddo cappuccino latte is a freddo cappuccino with a little extra cold milk in the glass. Pour the cold milk in with the freddo espresso and only then add the foam cap.
How do I froth cold milk without a frother?
Use a shaker or a screw-top jar. Add 100 ml of cold milk, close it tightly and shake for about 30 seconds until the milk has clearly grown in volume.
