Caffè latte

3 minutes1 servingBy FREDDO ·

A caffè latte takes 3 minutes, 18 g of finely ground FREDDO Espresso and 200 ml of milk. First a double espresso goes into a large, warmed cup, then you pour milk heated to about 60 °C on top. Unlike a cappuccino, the milk is frothed only a little, leaving a thin layer of foam. Unlike a latte macchiato, the espresso goes in first, so there are no layers.

Tips and variations

Caffè latte, cappuccino or latte macchiato?

The caffè latte sits in between: plenty of milk, little foam, in a cup. A cappuccino has less milk and more foam, a latte macchiato comes in a glass, in layers.

How do I make an iced latte?

Fill a glass with ice cubes and 200 ml of cold milk and pour the double espresso on top.

What is the difference between a caffè latte and a flat white?

A flat white is smaller than a caffè latte, with less milk and a very fine, thin foam, so it tastes more strongly of coffee.
